From March 6 to March 7, CRBC held the the third special report meeting for the “13th five-year” development sub-plan. Yang Yongsheng – Secretary of the Party Committee of CRBC and CRBC President Lu Shan attended the meeting and gave speeches. Vice Presidents Du Fei, Li Gang and Wang Lijun, Chief Engineer Sun Yaoguo, President Assistant Yin Chengzhu, Ye Chengyin, deputy chief economist Peng Danyan and responsible people of the sub-plan compiling departments were present at the meeting.
On August 11, Li Zhaoxing –President of China Public Diplomacy Association and Zhao Qizheng – former director of the State Council Information Office of China led about 150 people, including representatives of China Public Diplomacy Association, famous Chinese and foreign reporters, authoritative scholars, members of research institutions and think-tank to inspect Mombasa-Nairobi SGR Project. His Excellency Liu Xianfa, the Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, also participated.

Recently, the print media of Kenya published 7 news reports themed on "local elements" in performance of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR Project, built a bridge and communication bond between enterprises and the public, and promoted the understanding and integration, showed the image of CRBC as an open, tolerate, cooperative and win-win enterprise, which was widely praised by the society of Kenya.
