Inspection Train for Joint Debugging and Commissioning
Performed on the 120km Nairobi-Naivasha SGR starting from Nairobi South Station, the joint debugging and commissioning is aimed to thoroughly verify the professional system equipment and operation capacity of the SGR via step-wise acceleration test, signaling system test, whole-line test, operation chart test, fault simulation emergency drills, etc., which lays a solid foundation for safe, stable, high-quality and efficient operation of the Nairobi-Naivasha SGR.
The joint debugging and commissioning was formally commenced on September 1 and completed early on the morning of September 6, with 43 inspection trains of all types involved. During this period, all the project management departments efficiently and satisfactorily completed all kinds of inspections and tests, immediately and effectively rectified problems found revolving around the objectives in accordance with the principle of “integration of construction and operation”, winning great praise from the owner and consulting consortium. In the next step, Nairobi-Naivasha SGR will be subject to preliminary acceptance and safety assessment successively and will be ready for operation on October 1, 2019.
